Jehova Jireh Christian School

Jehova Jireh is a Private Christian School, located in the outskirts of Tipitapa. It is part of the programs of Zion Ministries in Nicaragua. This community called Cristo Rey, is located right next to the city’s trash dump and it is considered one of the most vulnerable communities in the area of Managua, Nicaragua.

According to the World Food Program Nicaragua Country Brief (August 2025) “Nicaragua, the largest country in Central America, remains one of the poorest in Latin America and the Caribbean. Its economy relies on light manufacturing, services, and agriculture. Despite recent growth, multiple crises and global challenges highlight the vulnerability of its food systems.”

The Jehova Jireh Christian School Program has a preschool, primary and high school, benefiting 406 children in total and around 250 families. New students are expected for the following years.

At the school, Jesus is the center of all what we do, He is the cornerstone of our programs at Zion Ministries. We provide devotionals and times of prayers, Vacation Bible School led by missionaries that visit us, Christian Education Classes and we have also integrated Bible based teachings in our day to day activities.

At Jehova Jireh the children receive free quality of education, personalized attention, uniforms support if the family needs it, and rice and beans. Currently we are working on funding the feeding center program. Also, most of our school supplies are covered by donations.

When the students graduate from our program, they have many more opportunities to get jobs in formal sectors of the economy, such as super markets, stores, factories and many others, different from the children that never graduate from high school and struggle to get a stable source of income for them and their families. The jobs offered for the under -educated population are farming helper, street seller, house keeper, construction worker and in some cases picking up trash at the trash dump. The average payment of these jobs is 3 dollars a day.

Also, Zion Ministries offer a Scholarship program for outstanding high school graduates to continue their superior education at different universities in the country, you can find more information about this at the “University .
